Theoretical and Applied Genetics 101:1093-1099
This barley BAC library has an average insert size of 106 Kb (Genome
size: 5000 Mb) covering 6.3 genome equivalents. It was constructed at CUGI
(Tomkins et
al. 2000). It was constructed in the Hind III site of pBeloBAC11and
contains 313,344 clones (816 plates).
The cv Morex BAC library is described and information aboput how to obtain clones, filters, the whole liobrary at the CUGI web page http://www.genome.clemson.edu/orders/Product.html.
You can get information about BAC addresses for specific probes at my
web page. Barley BAC addresses available to me can be viewed by two means
at
http://barleygenomics.wsu.edu/.
1. Download the excel spread sheet
"xl061201.xls" last updated on 6/12/01. BAC addresses are listed
in columns AA, AB, AC, AD, and AE.
2. Go to "databases and interactive
naps" at http://barleygenomics.wsu.edu/databases/databases.html and click
on BACS http://barleygenomics.wsu.edu/databases/bacs-search.html
This database is still in flux, but will eventually be the best source
of BAC address data.
