Bio

I’m a Ph.D. student in the Plant Biology Graduate Group at UC Davis working in the Dubcovsky lab.

My research focuses on the genetics of wheat gluten and its impact on processing quality and celiac disease. Right now, we’re excited to be developing wheat varieties with reduced immunogenicity and exploring synthetic gluten proteins. I am grateful to the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research Rockey Fellowship and the UC Davis Department of Plant Sciences for supporting my work.

I’m passionate about interdisciplinary science and science communication, and I’m looking forward to weaving these interests into my graduate studies and future career.
